What is an FTP site?
The Parametrix FTP site is to be used for the temporary transfer of files that are too large to e-mail to or from external clients.

How do I access the FTP site?
Contact your Parametrix Project Manager for a username/password and site address. You may then create a new folder with the client's name. Copy your files to the new folder just as you would in Microsoft Internet Explorer. (To copy files from the folder, select the file(s), select "File" then "Copy to Folder". Browse for the folder you wish to copy the file(s) to and select "ok".)

IMPORTANT! The folder and its contents will remain on the FTP site for approximately one week (7 days) before being removed.

Who should I contact about the FTP site?
FTP Site Administrators:

Dave Wood
Craig Cameron
Jason Michaud

What should I do if I continue to have problems accessing the FTP site?

Have you:

  1. Verified username and password with Parametrix staff?
  2. Verified site address with Parametrix staff?
  3. Utilized Windows Internet Explorer 6+ or some other type of FTP Client to access the Parametrix FTP site?
  4. Made sure that whatever software is used (ie., MS Explorer 6+, WS_FTP Pro) to access the Parametrix FTP site has passive mode enabled for a seamless connection.
  5. To enable Passive Mode, open your Internet Explorer, on the top click Tools - Internet Options. Click onto the Advanced Tab. Under the Browsing heading, scroll down to the Check box that says "Use Passive FTP (for firewall and DSL modem compatibility). Check that box and then click OK.

If you have gone through the steps listed above and are continuing to have problems, immediately contact your Parametrix contact for assistance.
