Chico Watershed SubArea Plan - Kitsap County, WA
Parmetrix provided project coordination and public outreach services on the County's Chico Watershed Plan. Services include facilitation of an advisory committee, creation of a template for future watershed planning efforts, preparation of a matrix to compare alternative conservation and development scenarios, facilitation of public meetings, and preparation of a report that summarized alternatives and documents the planning process.

Historic Business District Revitalization - Puyallup, WA
Managed the community involvement program for a $6.2 million street, sidewalk, and utility improvement project in the downtown core of the city. The program includes designing the public process, developing communication pieces, and facilitating public workshops and open houses. Three separate Advisory Committees were developed to meet the specific needs of those tenants and property owners located within the business district. Collateral materials creating an historic theme for the project were developed. Activities included weekly construction meetings, weekly newsletters, project hotline management, troubleshooting and problem-solving specific construction-related issues, media relations, and kickoff and wrap-up celebrations.

Sequim Downtown Revitalization - Sequim, WA
Parametrix was obtained to design the Sequim Streetscape/Revitalization Project. As part of the project, a subarea plan was developed for the downtown study area. Other project elements include conducting environmental studies and preparing environmental documentation. The project team will also prepare a landscape master plan. The engineering components of the project include the design, preparation of PS&E, and assist with public and stakeholder involvement and coordinate with the City, WSDOT, and other agencies. Specific public involvement components involve property owner meetings, project newsletters, project web site and open houses.

Downtown Vision - Eugene, OR
Parametrix helped the City of Eugene to create a unified vision for the greater downtown and adjacent riverfront area. The visioning process was designed to provide a new understanding and redirected focus on downtown Eugene and the Franklin Boulevard Corridor. Parametrix was responsible for project management, design and implementation of the public outreach strategy, organization and oversight of the major all-day community-visioning event, and guiding the project team and City staff through an analysis of the findings at conclusion of the event. The product of this effort was a diagrammatic representation of the vision and an action plan for implementation. This first phase of the project has begun to lead to future implementation phases, including the opening of Broadway Street, the creation of "Great Street" design standards, the opening of the Millrace and other place-making and public improvement activities.

Greater Cheyenne 2020 Vision - Cheyenne, WY
Parametrix staff lead a team responsible for developing a shared 2020 regional vision related to growth and delivery of services in the Cheyenne region. Phase focused on identification of issues and opportunities - strategic assessment - and involved extensive stakeholder outreach and involvement, as well as the public. More than 30 interviews were conducted with key stakeholders, two meetings with a 30-person task force were facilitated, and a public forum drew a broad cross-section of the community. Based on agreement reached in Phase 1, Phase 2 will develop a shared regional vision, including goals, principles and implementing strategies and responsibilities. The Task Force with public, non-profit, community, and business representatives will be the focal point for developing the vision.

Commute Trip Reduction Program Administration - Thurston County, WA
Parametrix was selected by a consortium of Thurston County and the cities of Yelm, Tumwater, and Lacey to coordinate the Commute Trip Reduction Program for the agencies and the affected 34 major employers within their jurisdictional boundaries. Tasks will include training, facilitation, employer outreach, special events coordination, and research on innovative transportation demand management techniques. Parametrix works closely with WSDOT, who oversees the program on a statewide level.

Interstate Corridor Urban Renewal Planning and Facilitation - Portland Development Commission, OR
Parametrix led the consulting team that designed and implemented a public involvement/community outreach effort for the urban renewal plan which is being developed to help with financing of a new light rail extension along Interstate Avenue in north Portland and to provide resources for community improvements developed by and recommended to the City by a 50-member advisory committee. The effort included facilitation of committee meetings, community forums, a field survey, newsletters, mobile displays, a tour of the area, and other features. Parametrix also assisted with development of plan elements and strategies related to the six topics of: housing, economic development, transportation, parks and open spaces, urban design and historic preservation, and community and public facilities and infrastructure.

Transportation Planning Services - Lewis County, WA
Lewis County adopted and approved their Comprehensive Plan in June 1999. The Plan was appealed and must be amended in order for the county to remain compliant with GMA. Parametrix managed the effort to address the transportation concerns within the Comprehensive Plan. The first phase of services was to collect data, research the Growth Management Hearing Board's decisions, and provide responses to questions raised on the original plan. This phase included an intensive review of existing transportation planning documents and the identification of elements to be addressed in order to meet Growth Management guidelines. The phase currently underway, is to refine the Plan to reflect land use projections and comply with new legislature governing transportation facilities of statewide significance (HB 1487).

Critical Areas Ordinance - Camas, WA
Parametrix conducted the review of Best Available Science and mapping resource areas to identify resources and provide direction on scientific basis for protecting those resources. Parametrix worked closely with City staff to balance resource protection issues with economic and social concerns while ensuring that the CAO update effort meets the state's requirements and is coordinated with federal agency work. Parametrix also provided public involvement services on the project including stakeholder meeting facilitation, preparing for and facilitating open houses, and preparing for and facilitating a Critical Areas Ordinance workshop with the city and other local jurisdictions.
