Columbia River Crossing Project – OR and WA
The Columbia River Crossing project is aimed at improving the mobility, reliability, and accessibility for automobile, freight, transit, bicycle, and pedestrian users of the I-5 corridor from SR 500 in Vancouver to approximately Columbia Boulevard in Portland. Parametrix is managing the environmental analysis including cultural resources issues. Parametrix is leading the preparation of the historic built environment resource documentation and the visual resource documentation for this complicated project involving multiple bi-state entities jointly aligned to find a solution to problems associated with the I-5 crossing that links the Portland-Vancouver metropolitan region at the Columbia River. Due to its proximity to the Columbia River, the Fort Vancouver National Historic Site, Vancouver National Historic Reserve, and virtually hundreds of other historic and recreational properties throughout the project area that might be impacted by the project, cultural and recreational resource issues are expected to be among the most critical to be addressed throughout the project.

US 50 Corridor East Project – CO
This 150-mile-long corridor in southeastern Colorado follows the Arkansas River and much of the Santa Fe Trail. Potential solutions include several potential bypasses of the existing route around the towns that currently use US 50 as their Main Street. Parametrix, as a subconsultant, is serving as a senior advisor for the tiered NEPA process as well as the lead for historic and cultural resources.
