what we do

Asset Management

Asset management systems allow our clients to comprehensively manage their infrastructure assets, whether those are utilities, roads, transit, or other infrastructure. Our team can help you develop an asset management system to document historical information and the condition, location, and quantity of your assets. With this easily accessible information, your team will be able to visualize, analyze, and explore the many pieces of asset related data to make better decisions about maintenance and capital investments.

Fruitland Mutual Water Company | Parametrix
Fruitland Mutual Water Company
Pierce County, Washington
Client: Fruitland Mutual Water Company

With over 3,500 service connections, Fruitland Mutual Water Company serves residents, businesses, and public facilities in southwest Puyallup and unincorporated Pierce County. Traditionally, staff used CAD-based as-builts and design drawings to locate existing infrastructure and plan future upgrades. Parametrix worked with Fruitland to transition these drawings into a web map-based asset management system, which includes map layers for each asset along with detailed information such as pipe diameters, valve types, and current conditions. With the system in place, Fruitland staff can view their assets in the field on a tablet or in the office, collect new assets with a sub-foot GPS unit, and track maintenance activities.
