what we do

Asset Management

Asset management systems allow our clients to comprehensively manage their infrastructure assets, whether those are utilities, roads, transit, or other infrastructure. Our team can help you develop an asset management system to document historical information and the condition, location, and quantity of your assets. With this easily accessible information, your team will be able to visualize, analyze, and explore the many pieces of asset related data to make better decisions about maintenance and capital investments.

Salmonberry Trail
Salmonberry Trail
Tillamook and Washington Counties, Oregon
Client: Oregon State Parks Department

The Salmonberry Trail is a proposed 80-mile multi-use trail connecting Banks in the Willamette Valley to Tillamook on the Oregon Coast. Following an historic, abandoned rail line, the trail will offer a visually stunning, car free alternative from valley to coast. The first step in developing the Coast and Valley segments was to produce planning documents and asset/liabilities inventories for each. Using iPads and a high accuracy GPS unit, Parametrix inventoried assets and liabilities along the entire coast and valley segments as well as a portion of the hard to reach canyon segment. The location and condition of existing infrastructure such as the rail bed, tunnels, and bridges, as well as potential liabilities such as landslides and vegetation encroachment were all collected. The field inventory and subsequent mapping products are available to the agency staff, project team, and coordination committees via secure web and story maps.
