Habitat Mitigation Monitoring | Parametrix
Habitat Mitigation Monitoring
Tacoma, Washington
Client: Port of Tacoma
Partner: Grette Associates

To mitigate for industrial developments, the Port of Tacoma had developed several habitat sites for salmon and other wildlife. Since 2006, Parametrix has provided topographic surveying to support the annual physical monitoring of habitat sites. Surveys of the Clear Creek, Hylebos, Slip 5, and Gog-le-hi-te physical monitoring sites involved verification of horizontal and vertical control, mapping of existing conditions, and preparation of updates and post-construction survey exhibits. These exhibits illustrated site contours, planting areas, and cross sections.
