NEPA Documentation

Streamlining environmental solutions

Parametrix is recognized as a go-to firm in the West when it comes to developing and delivering high quality environmental documentation on the most complex and controversial transportation projects.  We understand NEPA and state environmental laws and assist agencies in navigating the process. We have developed hundreds of environmental documents for FHWA and state DOTs. Our documents ensure accountability, improve decision-making, engage the public, and protect critical elements of the natural and built environment. Our staff routinely trains environmental professionals nationally on improving the quality of NEPA documents and streamlined environmental program approaches.

Lynnwood Link Extension | Parametrix
Lynnwood Link Extension
Seattle to Lynnwood, Washington
Client: Sound Transit
Partner: Parsons Brinkerhoff

The Lynnwood Link Extension will extend the Link light rail system from Northgate in Seattle north to Lynnwood. We have completed alternatives analysis, conceptual engineering, and EIS scoping to confirm that light rail is the best mode of transit and I-5 is the right corridor to study based on ridership, travel times, service levels, and cost. The EIS will examine potential alignments and station options for the 8-9 mile extension. The project involves an extensive outreach program with multiple jurisdictions and the public.
