Newberg Dundee Bypass | Parametrix
Newberg Dundee Bypass
Yamhill County, Oregon
Client: ODOT

Oregon 99W, the main highway through Newberg and Dundee, experiences high levels of congestion as it links Portland, coastal communities, and the growing Willamette Valley wine region. To relieve congestion and improve safety, this project will provide an 11-mile bypass highway with four interchanges as an alternate route for local commuter and freight traffic. Parametrix has led the transportation planning, environmental documentation including a NEPA EIS, public workshops, and design. Nine location alternatives were analyzed for the highway and interchange area management plans were developed involving access control and policy to control land uses.
