what we do

Engineering innovative wastewater treatment solutions

Increasing population, aging infrastructure, and stricter regulations have put pressure on wastewater conveyance and treatment systems. Parametrix develops sustainable, cost-effective solutions. In addition to traditional approaches, we are experienced in designing systems for advanced membrane filtration, reclaimed water, enhanced nutrient systems, and biosolids management. From collection and conveyance to treatment and reuse, we are exploring new ways for our clients to improve their operations and meet today’s challenges.

Sunriver Wastewater Treatment Plant Upgrades
Sunriver Wastewater Treatment Plant Upgrades
Sunriver, Oregon
Client: Sunriver Environmental

This 1.5 mgd treatment facility upgrade will deliver Class A recycled water and address community concerns regarding odor, noise, and aesthetics. A membrane bioreactor (MBR) and associated biological treatment processes will achieve Class A recycled water standards as defined by the Oregon Revised Statutes and meet Water Pollution Control Facility permit renewal requirements, allowing the beneficial reuse of effluent for golf course and non-forage crop irrigation. The improvements also include a new preliminary treatment facility (headworks), upgrades to the existing solids handling processes, disinfection, demolition of existing structures, and odor control facilities. Landscaping enhancements will help to screen the facility from roads and pathways. The project is being delivered via a CM/GC process. In addition to designing the improvements, Parametrix assisted with alternatives analysis, public outreach, CM/GC RFP development, and contractor selection.

"...excellent project management throughout the project to keep the project on schedule and within budget... Your staff did an outstanding job of designing the facilities and managing the construction."
