05.23.18 Parametrix Named Employer of the Year by Women’s Transportation Seminar Portland Chapter
Portland, OR – Each year Women’s Transportation Seminar (WTS) Portland Chapter recognizes a firm that demonstrates a strong commitment to recruiting, retaining, and advancing women in transportation with the Employer of the Year Award. The award was presented to Parametrix at the Spring event held yesterday evening at the Oregon Zoo.
Parametrix entered the transportation industry in the early 1990s and has included women in leadership roles since the beginning: starting with two women in leadership roles on the Washington Coastal Corridor Scenic Byway project. The firm has played a role in developing some of the region’s most high-profile transportation infrastructure, from Portland’s and Seattle’s light rail systems to roadway projects like the Newberg-Dundee Bypass to major bridges like the SR 520 Floating Bridge across Seattle’s Lake Washington.
The local leadership team includes four women who are responsible for helping to develop short- and long-term business strategies, lead the delivery of critical regional transportation projects, and develop future leaders.
Parametrix also received the Employer of the Year Award for large firms from the Puget Sound Chapter of WTS in February of 2017.
