Puyallup, WA – Parametrix Senior Consultant Jennifer Murphy, PE, CSE, has been appointed to serve as chair of the Water Environment Federation (WEF) Municipal Resource Recovery Design Community.
She will serve a three-year term, beginning as second vice chair and culminating as chair in 2027-2028.
WEF is an international not-for-profit technical and educational water quality organization made up of over 30,000 members. Its mission is “inspiring the water community in pursuit of human and environmental well-being.”
Murphy has two decades of experience in the wastewater industry as a project manager and mechanical and controls engineer with a focus on complex systems design and advanced wastewater treatment and aeration control. She joined Parametrix in 2017 and manages projects for public clients across the Northwest.
Murphy joined WEF in 2013. Her involvement has included over three dozen technical presentations, chairing five aeration control workshops, serving as the Pacific Northwest Clean Water Association member services co-chair, the technical program chair for the PNCWA2025, and chair of the Municipal Resource Recovery Design Community Instrumentation and Controls focus group.
