Employee Ownership
Employee ownership is more than a financial benefit;
it is the foundation of a culture that embodies a shared
commitment to the success of Parametrix.
In the early 1990s, the owners began considering ownership transition options to plan for the future of Parametrix. They determined that forming an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) would allow the company’s culture to remain intact and provide a secure future for the employees and their families. Parametrix was established as an ESOP in 1992, and through regular sales of the owners’ stock to the ESOP trust, became 100% employee-owned in 1999. Parametrix quickly embraced employee ownership and was named the “Employee-owned Company of the Year” by the National ESOP Association in 2001.
What Does Employee Ownership Mean?
Employee ownership has helped to shape our culture, encouraging inclusion, collaboration, and accountability, leading to the best solutions for our clients.
What it means for clients is that every employee at Parametrix has a stake in the company’s success, the quality of our work, and the satisfaction of our clients. Employee-owners are empowered to participate and think like an owner. They take initiative and accountability for their work, leading to decisions that result in success for our clients and our company.
For employees, it means that you share in and contribute to Parametrix’s success. From day one, you earn stock in your ESOP account. It’s much more than a retirement account, however. It’s a commitment from Parametrix to provide opportunities for employees to grow their careers, develop leadership skills, be a part of fulfilling projects, and foster collaboration and inclusion in all we do.
