Boise, ID – Parametrix has hired Kip Davidson, PE as a Senior Engineer. He brings a decade of experience working on transportation projects throughout Idaho. He is a licensed Professional Engineer in Idaho, Oregon, Washington, and Utah.
Davidson comes to Parametrix from Horrocks where he served as a project manager and project engineer. He recently worked with Idaho Transportation Department’s Bonding Office as deputy project manager and roadway lead on the reconstruction of I-84 from Centennial Way to Franklin Road in Caldwell, Idaho. The $92 million construction contract was recently awarded and will begin in November 2023. Additionally, he was the deputy project manager and design lead for the I-84, Caldwell to Karcher Environmental Evaluation, which led to seven miles of interstate reconstruction in Canyon County. Apart from state-owned facilities, he has managed and designed transportation projects for various local jurisdictions such as Valley County and the cities of McCall, Middleton, and Lewiston, ID.
He is a member of the Institute of Transportation Engineers and American Society of Civil Engineers. He is also Past-President of the Southern Idaho Section of American Society of Civil Engineers after serving four years on the board.
At Parametrix, Davidson joins the firm’s Boise Transportation group, supporting the Idaho Transportation Department, Ada County Highway District, and other local agencies in delivering some of the state’s largest infrastructure projects. The firm’s Boise office includes approximately 25 professionals providing services in transportation, survey, and environmental planning.
