Parametrix Hires California/Nevada Structures Lead

Ebrahim Amiri, PhD, PE, PMP has joined Parametrix as California/Nevada Structures Lead. Ebrahim brings nearly two decades of experience managing transportation structure projects and serving in technical leadership roles.

He comes to Parametrix from WSP USA where he served as Vice President for Bridges and Structures. Throughout his career, he has supported highway, roadway, railroad, and light rail transit projects as structures lead/project manager from conceptual design through construction. His work has included reconstruction of the historic Georgia Street arch bridge in San Diego, CA; replacement of several river crossings; load rating of the Caltrans Richmond San Rafael Bay Bridge; the SANDAG Mid-Coast light rail transit extension; Caltrans US-50 high occupancy vehicle design-build; seismic retrofit of Ballard and Fremont movable bridges in Seattle, WA; and Colorado Department of Transportation C70 Union Pacific Railroad and BNSF bridges in Denver, CO.

Based in San Diego, he will lead the firm’s structural practice for Nevada and California, which includes four offices serving departments of transportation, local agency, and metropolitan clients across both states.
