Bremerton, WA – The Washington State Department of Transportation has selected Parametrix to complete the planning and environmental linkages (PEL) and National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) documentation for the State Route 3 Gorst area project.
Gorst serves as the crossroads of the Kitsap County transportation system, with the convergence of SR 3, SR 16, SR 304, the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard, and the cities of Bremerton and Port Orchard. The project aims to improve multimodal mobility and resiliency while addressing ecological and cultural considerations associated with Sinclair Inlet.
Key partners and stakeholders in the project include the Federal Highway Administration, the Suquamish Tribe, Kitsap County, Kitsap Transit, Naval Base Kitsap, City of Bremerton, City of Port Orchard, and Puget Sound Regional Council.
Parametrix has served the Kitsap Peninsula since 1978 with an office in Bremerton. The project team, led by Parametrix, includes SCJ Alliance and HDR as well as several small, veteran-owned, women-owned, minority-owned, and disadvantaged business enterprises.
