To comply with HB 1181, the City of Anacortes needed to complete a Climate Element as part of its Comprehensive Plan. Our team developed a climate vulnerability index (CVI) to assess risks to people, the environment, and critical infrastructure; completed a vulnerability and risk assessment for public-facing web use; and facilitated public meetings and an industrial working group. Parametrix also prepared the GHG emissions reduction sub-element, developed supporting goals and policies, and briefed planning officials throughout the process. Parametrix also reviewed the City’s shoreline management program and critical areas work to ensure alignment with climate planning requirements.
