The C Concourse expansion at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport added over 145,000 square feet of new space that include services, amenities, and art. Inspired by the natural landscapes of the Pacific Northwest, the additions elevate the passenger experience.
The expansion includes four new floors. An open atrium welcomes travelers with ten new dining and retail options, six new retail kiosks, and inclusive facilities.
Climate-friendly features include folding vertical windows that filter light throughout the day, energy-efficient solar panels, all-electric heating and water systems, and low-flow water fixtures. The facility aims to become LEED Platinum Certified.
The total estimated project cost is $399 million, with funding coming from a combination of Airport Development Fund and future revenue bonds.
Parametrix served as lead construction manager for the program, delivered using the General Contractor/Construction Manager method.
To accommodate the traveling public, the project was completed ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup tournament hosted in Seattle.
