03.05.19 Parametrix Hires John Phillips, ENV SP as Director of Integrated Watershed Management
Seattle, WA – John Phillips, ENV SP has joined Parametrix as the firm’s Director of Integrated Watershed Management. At Parametrix, Phillips will guide the firm’s integrated approach to Infrastructure development and natural resources in watershed planning, management, restoration, and climate change adaptation.
Phillips has 20 years of experience in environmental sciences and natural resources. He has served in a variety of roles including as a Submarine Sonar Technician in the United States Navy, the Executive Director of the Corvallis Environmental Center, and the Combined Sewer Overflow Program Manager in King County’s Wastewater Treatment Division. In his most recent role at King County, Phillips was responsible for the development and implementation of a pilot program to test new technology for wet weather treatment. Phillips served on the Pacific Northwest Clean Water Association Executive Board from 2014 – 2018, including as President in 2017.
At Parametrix, Phillips will assist clients in the identification and development of solutions for combined and sanitary sewer overflows to meet consent decree and discharge standards.
