Seattle, WA – Engineering News Record has released its annual Top Design Firms list, which ranks firms based on revenue for design services performed in the previous year. This year Parametrix was ranked number 151, up from a ranking of 164 last year. Parametrix has been ranked in the top 500 design firms since 2003.
“We have been fortunate to capitalize on being well positioned to win and deliver some very interesting work over the last year. Our fastest growing market segment has been in our transit practice, where we continue to see strong growth looking forward,” stated Parametrix CEO, Jeff Peacock, PE.
Last year, two-thirds of Parametrix’s revenue was generated from transportation projects, with the remainder divided among water, wastewater, and general building projects. Some of the firm’s most significant projects in 2018 were the I-84 Karcher Interchange to Franklin Interchange in Nampa, ID; I-5 Mounts Road to Thorne Lane Corridor Improvements in Pierce County, WA; TriMet’s MAX Red Line Extension in Portland, OR; LOTT Clean Water Alliance’s Process Improvements in Olympia, WA; Interbay Forcemain in King County, WA; Metro’s Southwest Corridor Transit Improvements in Portland, OR; and US 550, from NM 313 to NM 528 in Bernalillo, NM.
According to Engineering News Record, this year’s top firms had a record-breaking combined total revenue of $101.16 billion in 2018, an increase of 7.7% from 2017.
