Portland, OR – Ryan Farncomb has joined Parametrix as a project manager and senior transportation planner based out of the firm’s Portland office. He has over 10 years of experience in transit, bike, and pedestrian planning. His project experience includes the Oregon Public Transportation Plan, Northwest Oregon Transit Alliance’s Access to Transit Improvement project, and Spokane Transit Authority’s Central City Line.

Prior to joining Parametrix, Farncomb served as a Project Manager and Transportation Planning Group Lead at Jacobs. His role included managing transportation planning and design projects, from long-range system planning to transit capital project development and implementation. He has written grant applications for public agencies, including two successful Federal Transit Administration Small Starts grant applications for Spokane Transit and Sound Transit. He is also experienced in developing public involvement strategies.

In 2013, Farncomb earned a Master of Urban & Regional Planning from Portland State University. He now serves as an Adjunct Professor, teaching an introduction to urban transportation planning class. Farncomb serves as a steering committee member of RailVolution and is a member of the Multnomah County Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Committee.

At Parametrix, he joins the firm’s transportation planning and design group. He will be working on projects such as the I-5 at Aurora Donald Interchange and the Oregon Coast Bike Route.
