Chris Young headshotPuyallup, WA – Parametrix Senior Engineer Chris Young, PE, has been elected to serve as chair of the Pacific Northwest Section of the American Water Works Association (PNWS-AWWA). Young has nearly 20 years of experience in the water infrastructure industry.

He was selected for the role based on votes from organization members. The results will be approved by a selection board on February 17, and he will begin his term as the section’s chair-elect in May 2026. His term coincides with the 100th anniversary of the Pacific Northwest Section of the organization.

Young joined Parametrix in October 2024 and has been a member of PNWS-AWWA since 2009, serving on multiple committees and as a board member. He has received the section’s Pioneer Award, John Lechner Award of Excellence, and, most recently in 2022, the Heart and Soul Award.

“I’m honored and excited to represent Parametrix in this role. I’m grateful for the trust placed in me by my peers and look forward to serving our industry while elevating Parametrix, our water professionals, and the individuals who drive our work forward,” said Young.
