Cole Mortensen, PE to Lead Nevada Region at Parametrix

Cole Mortensen Parametrix_croppedCole Mortensen, PE has joined Parametrix as Nevada Region Manager. In his new role he will lead the firm’s growing Nevada offices, which provide planning, environmental, engineering, and visualization services to public and private clients across the state. Cole comes to Parametrix with over two decades of experience leading teams and delivering complex transportation projects across the state.

He most recently served as Nevada Department of Transportation (NDOT) Deputy Director over Planning and Administration, including Communications, Safety, External Civil Rights, Contract Compliance, and Agreement Services. He also served as Assistant Director of Engineering and Chief Engineer leading NDOT’s project delivery program and managing the Engineering disciplines, including Roadway Design, Project Management, Structures, Hydraulics, Location, and Right of Way. Previously, he served as Project Management Division Chief, Assistant Chief, and Senior Project Manager, delivering the statewide program of major projects and innovative delivery from planning and environmental phases through construction.

Cole was born and raised in Nevada and is a graduate of the University of Nevada, where he received a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in civil engineering.
