Jenifer Young Rejoins Parametrix

Seattle, WA – Parametrix has hired Jenifer Young as the Environmental Planning and Compliance Division Manager for the firm’s Puget Sound Region. She previously served in this role from 2015 through 2018, when she relocated to New York City where she worked for VHB. She returns to the Seattle area to rejoin Parametrix and further build the firm’s National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) and State Environmental Policy Act (SEPA) practice.
Young has over 30 years of experience in preparing and managing environmental impact statements and related analyses for a wide variety of development projects. Her areas of expertise include environmental and regulatory strategy; management of NEPA and SEPA review for major transportation, development, and utility projects; the assessment of social and community impacts; and the integration of environmental review and public outreach processes. While at VHB, she co-led a firmwide NEPA initiative, working with NEPA practitioners on leadership and staff development.
Her previous project experience includes work for the Washington State Department of Transportation on projects such as the State Route 520, I-5 to Medina Bridge Replacement. Young served as environmental manager for this $4.3 billion multimodal corridor project.
At Parametrix, Young will be responsible for staff and project management as well as business development for Parametrix’s Puget Sound Environmental Planning and Compliance division, which includes approximately 50 staff located in Seattle, Bremerton, and Puyallup.
