Parametrix Adds Four Staff in Salt Lake City, Growing Transportation Engineering and Structural Capabilities

Salt Lake City, UT – Parametrix has added four new engineering staff in their Salt Lake City office, expanding the firm’s southwest region structural and roadway engineering capabilities. The new staff includes John Slippey, PE, who will lead the firm’s Salt Lake City highway and bridge engineering program, roadway engineer Cody Sainsbury, EIT, and bridge and structures engineers Nathan Bingham, PE and Trenton Parks.

Slippey has 25 years of experience in a broad spectrum of highway and infrastructure projects, including the preparation of roadway, traffic signal, signing, and striping plan sheets, traffic control sheets, developing specifications, and estimating. He is also experienced in urban roadway reconstruction and rural highway and interstate highway design. He has provided management, design oversight, and quality assurance for projects in Utah, Texas, Montana, and Idaho. Recently, he has been involved with several Utah Department of Transportation projects, including SR-102 from I-84 to SR-13 in Box Elder County, I-15 Weber Express Lanes in Davis County, and US-40 Gusher EB Passing Lane & Center Turn Lane in Uintah County.

Sainsbury has 3 years of roadway design and civil engineering experience as a project engineer. He has designed roadways associated with several Utah Department of Transportation projects.

Bingham has 10 years of experience, including construction and inspection of highway projects. He has also been involved in many Utah Department of Transportation projects.

Parks is a recent college graduate with 2 years of experience as a bridge engineer. He has worked on, designed, and reviewed bridges and other transportation structures throughout Utah.

Parametrix’s Utah location is comprised of 21 staff specializing in transportation engineering, transportation and environmental planning, urban design, and traffic engineering. Parametrix also has southwest region offices in Albuquerque and Las Vegas that provide services in transportation design and engineering, NEPA, and cultural resources. In December, Stephanie Miller rejoined Parametrix, adding to the firm’s southwest region NEPA resources. She has 25 years of experience preparing environmental documents and leading transportation corridor studies.
