Bentonville, AR – Seabrook Land Company received the 2026 charter award from the Congress for the New Urbanism (CNU). The award was presented during the annual congress in Northwest Arkansas on May 14.

The CNU Charter Awards “recognize exemplary work by CNU members and their allies who design and build places people love.” Seabrook received the grand prize for its rural-to-urban regional town planning model.
Seabrook, a beach town located on the coast of Washington state, features a town center with shops and restaurants, 18 parks, hundreds of acres of trails, and an amphitheater.
The town is described by CNU as “a quintessential model of polycentric regional growth, offering a strategic blueprint for rural-to-urban transformation.”

Parametrix has been involved with the Seabrook development since master planning began in 2006. Services provided include land use planning, landscape architecture, permitting, public agency coordination, civil site design, land survey, and construction administration.
