The Santaquin Active Transportation Plan was a joint effort between Santaquin City and UDOT. Parametrix developed a comprehensive active transportation network for the city with a variety of facility types, from shared roadways to multi-use pathways.
The project team completed an existing conditions analysis, engaged the public, and developed a proposed active transportation network. The project also developed a “Community Pedestrian Corridor” for the city’s 100 South, which aims to re-focus the main street away from busy US-6, honor the rural heritage of Santaquin, and provide a high-comfort facility for all modes. Parametrix completed the plan through UDOT’s Technical Planning Assistance grant program, which has been successfully adopted by the City Council.
