Traditional transportation methods harm our climate, accounting for roughly one-quarter of all greenhouse gas emissions. The pollution from transportation powered by fossil fuels also harms our health. The Environmental Defense Fund is driving the transition to electric vehicles, sustainable aviation fuels, and zero-emission shipping, advocating the use of cleaner fuels everywhere.

Parametrix is assisting the Environmental Defense Fund and several Justice 40 communities in Houston to quantify the amounts of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions generated by commercial trucking and drayage operations. The goal of this project is to use connected commercial vehicles and big data analytics to quantify the impact of drayage operations on local communities and propose mitigation measures to reduce negative impacts including GHG emissions.
