Seattle, WA – Engineering News Record has released its annual Top Design Firms Sourcebook, which provides market analysis and rankings of the largest United States-based architectural and engineering firms in eight major industry sectors. Parametrix was ranked number 49 in the telecommunications category. Puyallup, WA – Maricris Eleno-Orama, EdD, PE has joined Parametrix as a Senior Engineer based in Puyallup, WA. She has 16 years of experience as an engineer working in government, consulting, and academia. Eleno-Orama comes to Parametrix from Murraysmith/CONSOR Engineers where she also served as a Consultant Project Manager for the City of Bellevue. Her recent project experience includes reservoir design, seismic assessment, and decommissioning projects, as well as resiliency and emergency response planning for various utilities. She was also Murraysmith’s Tacoma Office Lead and helped establish the company-wide Outreach Team that focused on equitable engagement as part of the firm’s Corporate Social Responsibility Initiative. This year, Parametrix ranked 128, up from 142 in 2021. Parametrix has appeared on the list every year since 2003.The top 200 firms’ combined environmental services revenue reached a new high of $112.7 billion this year.Environmental services accounted for 51% of Parametrix’s overall revenue. Of that environmental revenue, environmental science and wastewater treatment services made up over 85%. The remainder was generated by hazardous waste, water supply and treatment, and environmental management services.
