Parametrix to Design Next Phase of Spokane’s Division Street Bus Rapid Transit

Parametrix’s Darby Watson, Roger Flint, and Joel Theodore stop to speak with a Route 25 driver while riding the Division Corridor. Spokane, WA – Spokane Transit Authority has selected Parametrix to provide design and engineering services for the Division Street Bus Rapid Transit project, a 9-mile corridor serving over 10,000 riders per day. Design is expected to begin in 2022 and construction will start in 2025.Vice President Darby Watson, AICP will serve as Parametrix’s project manager. Amy Cummings, AICP, LEED AP Joins Parametrix

Las Vegas, NV – Amy Cummings, AICP, LEED AP has joined Parametrix as Statewide Transportation Planning Manager. She has over 20 years of industry experience in both the public and private sectors.Cummings most recently served as Deputy Executive Director/Director of Planning for the Regional Transportation Commission of Washoe County (RTC). At RTC, she was responsible for all aspects of short- and long-range multimodal transportation planning, including integration of transit and roadway improvements and advancement of RTC’s Complete Streets program. She was instrumental in the successful completion of the Virginia Line and Lincoln Line bus rapid transit projects, both of which were made possible by U.S. Department of Transportation grants and finished under budget and ahead of schedule. She also led development of the agency’s award-winning Regional Transportation Plan in partnership with state, local, and federal agencies. During her time at RTC, she was known for fostering innovative strategies for maximum stakeholder engagement.Cummings served as a Board Member and Vice President of the Association of Metropolitan Planning Organizations. John Phillips Receives Stormwater Professional Excellence Award

Seattle, WA – The Pacific Northwest Clean Water Association (PNCWA) presented Parametrix’s John Phillips with the Stormwater Professional Excellence Award during the annual conference in Boise, ID on September 15, 2021.The award recognizes individuals for outstanding performance, professionalism, and contributions to the stormwater profession. Recipients are recognized for outstanding achievements in stormwater design, stormwater management, watershed management, and green infrastructure.Phillips serves as Parametrix’s Director of Integrated Watershed Management. He is credited with managing King County’s evaluation of climate change on infrastructure. He also led green stormwater infrastructure implementation for the wastewater treatment division. She has 17 years of industry experience in transportation and transit planning, regional transportation plan development, and public outreach.
