05.24.19 Luke Miller, PLS Joins Parametrix

Seattle, WA – Luke Miller, PLS has joined Parametrix as a Surveying Supervisor based out of the firm’s Seattle office. He has 15 years of experience in land surveying, including topographic mapping, ALTA/NSPS land title surveys, boundary line delineation and retracement, legal descriptions, FEMA Flood Certificates, construction calculations, and project management. Miller comes to Parametrix from David Evans & Associates. His experience includes residential and commercial surveys including historic properties and topographic surveys to provide information for architectural and civil design. He has also worked on commercial projects including completing an ALTA survey for the Washington Square office building in Bellevue and the historic Moses building in Seattle. He is a current member of the Land Surveyors Association of Washington and previously served as the Board Secretary. At Parametrix, Miller will be responsible for managing all aspects of survey work for the firm’s Seattle survey group. She has 10 years of experience working on green stormwater infrastructure projects and performing hydrologic and hydraulic modeling analysis. Neier comes to Parametrix from BHC Consultants. Her experience includes projects for the King County Wastewater Treatment Division, Lake Meridian Water District, and the cities of Monroe, Lynnwood, and Snohomish. She is a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers, Water Environment Federation, and the Pacific Northwest Clean Water Association. 05.14.19 Dmitri Suslikov, PE Joins Parametrix

Puyallup, WA – Dmitri Suslikov, PE has joined Parametrix as a senior transportation engineer based out of the firm’s Puyallup office. He has nearly 20 years of experience specializing in municipal projects with a focus in road design. Suslikov comes to Parametrix from Exeltech Consulting. He served as a senior project engineer, developing designs for new roads and road improvements, including intersections, roundabouts, bridge approaches, sidewalks, ADA ramps, overlay, drainage, water, and walking paths. Prior to that he worked for Skillings-Connolly, Inc. and has also served as a project engineer for Mason County Department of Public Works. His project experience includes the Chumstick Creek Fish Passage Improvement project in Chelan County where 17 culverts were replaced with small bridges. He also served as a project engineer on the City of Lynnwood’s 204th Street Southwest project which included a roundabout, road improvements, sidewalks, parking lots, stormwater detention and treatment facilities, a sediment trap, and utility relocations. Additionally, he was involved in the City of Gig Harbor’s Stinson Avenue water main replacement and roadway improvements. At Parametrix, Suslikov joins the firm’s Puget Sound region transportation division where he will be working on municipal transportation projects for local agencies. 04.30.19 Parametrix Recognized for Capacity Building Mentorship Program Participation

Dan Seydel (Platinum Group, LLC), Leslie Jones (Sound Transit), Jennifer Hoback (Sound Transit), and Michael Horntvedt (Parametrix) at the launch of the Capacity Building Mentorship Program at the Tukwila Commmunity Center on Friday, April 12. Seattle, WA – Parametrix has been recognized by the Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) for continued contributions to the Capacity Building Mentorship Program. The program “pairs successful prime contractor and consultants with diverse businesses wanting to do business with Washington state in an effort to increase their capacity and participation on WSDOT projects.” Sound Transit has recently partnered with WSDOT to re-launch the program. The program will be administered by the Minority Business Development Agency – Tacoma Business Center. Happy Longfellow, PE, Transportation Division Manager at Parametrix, has led the firm’s participation in the program, including developing a relationship with the protégé firm, Platinum Group, LLC and providing mentorship in marketing and business development, business planning, and core services development. Phelps has 23 years of industry experience, 11 of which have been with Parametrix. This acquisition will create a permanent presence for Parametrix in Southwest Washington and expand the firm’s service offerings. 03.27.19 Parametrix to Conduct Feasibility Study for Oak Grove-Lake Oswego Pedestrian/Bicycle Bridge

Portland, OR – Clackamas County has selected Parametrix to conduct a feasibility study for the Oak Grove-Lake Oswego Pedestrian/Bicycle Bridge. The bridge, referred to as the “OGLO” bridge, will extend across the Willamette River, connecting two high-density residential areas while closing a key gap in the regional trail system. This concept has been discussed for nearly a decade and the feasibility study will determine if it is possible and identify alternatives.  “A pedestrian/bicycle bridge connecting Oak Grove and Lake Oswego provides long-term business and recreational benefits for the two communities” said Parametrix project manager Mike Pyszka, PE. In an article about the project featured on Lake Oswego Review, Lake Oswego City Councilor Jeff Gudman stated that the project is “probably the most significant active transportation project in the Metro region.” The project team includes JLA Public Involvement and HDR Engineering. Seattle, WA – Darby Watson, AICP has joined Parametrix as a Vice President, overseeing the firm’s Transportation and Community Building Divisions in the Puget Sound region. Watson has over 20 years of experience, specializing in managing transportation and urban planning programs.
